Wall of Love

Overall, we have had a positive experience with Richard and his team. The installation team are a lovely bunch, turned up on time, worked hard and did a good job. The scaffolding company they use are equally good and responsive to a couple of concerns we had.

Rob was fab working through my existing 10 year solar system, installing the battery/inverter - no fuss - explaining the plan and delivered to it with no hassle - excellent !

Very helpful throughout. My solar installation took a long time while because of issues that were not Chiltern Solar's fault (issues with my roof), but they worked with me throughout to get there as soon as possible. Definitely recommend.

Chiltern Solar installed our solar system in 2022. We have had excellent results from the system and support from the company.

Brilliant experience from survey to installation. Very competitive quote and good communication all through the process. The team did a great job of the installation; workmanship was all to a really high standard and they were a nice group of guys to deal with. I’d recommend Chiltern Solar without hesitation.

Chiltern Solar carried out a solar & battery storage installation for us in April 2024. This has been so successful that we recently asked them to add a second battery to the system and we are now getting real benefits from this. We have been very satisfied with the service provided by Chiltern Solar throughout, and even more importantly our electricity bills are now minimal, even in the winter months. I would strongly recommend Chiltern Solar to anyone embarking on a similar journey and would also recommend investing in as much battery storage upfront as can be afforded - that is the real game changer.

Installed two arrays and a battery in two separate installations a year apart. Good advice, easy to contact and did what they said they would do. Can't ask for more.

I’ve just had my solar and battery installation completed by Children Solar and have been very impressed by the whole process. From sales and advice through to installation and commissioning everyone I’ve dealt with have been knowledgeable and professional.

Good advice, easy to contact and did what they said they would do. Can't ask for more.

Very happy with the way this installation was handled and completed. As far as I know my tenant was not inconvenienced in any way. I am very much looking forward to seeing the installation for myself when I am next in the UK. In all first class service from the CHILTERN SOLAR Ltd TEAM.

Absolutely 100% recommend Chiltern Solar for solar panels on your house - from start to finish, excellent communications, very respectful installation teams, fantastic product and for a good price too. It all takes a while but well worth it when all installed. 5/5.

Really happy with the whole team which did a great job, very neat workmanship. Would recommend this company to anyone thinking about having solar panels and battery installed.

We have been very pleased with the whole experience of using Chiltern Solar. Every aspect of the installation went very smoothly.

The quote was competitive and installation and delivery as quoted. So far everything is working well and very pleased with the results

Excellent service from start to finish Very pleased with the equipment Very happy to recommend Chiltern Solar

Thank you to Chiltern Solar Ltd for your help and support throughout the process of purchase and installation of our solar panels at Bletchley Youth Centre. The team have been amazing from start to finish and we would highly recommend them to anyone wishing to embark on such an important environmental project as we have been able to do with the help of funding from Milton Keynes City Council and West Bletchley Council.

Simple quick and easy to deal with

The whole team at Chiltern Solar have been superb from start to finish. Excellent communication at the outset, which can sometimes wane with companies as they win your business, but NOT in this case. Polite, thoughtful and very happy to be amenable to us as customers and our needs. The scaffolders turned up when expected and were efficient. The installation team turned up when expected and worked hard and were a lovely bunch of lads to have in and around our property. Considerate to me working from home too in terms of interruptions and noise. All finished on time (yesterday!), with excellent and patient explanations to us to understand how it all works. Thoroughly recommend.

Great team. Well organised, polite, helpful and communicative at every stage. Panels working well. I would recommend them to anyone.

One Week ago my installation took place, so still very early days yet to see how well the system is operating and it is in the Winter! I would like to commend everybody at Chiltern Solar for the excellent job of my solar PV installation. All the team have been excellent ,from Mike who carried out the initial survey, to the staff in the office Dorothy, Sam, Julie and anybody else I've missed, to the guys who did the panel Installation who re-jigged the configuration of the panels to a neater setup, and of course Kevin the electrician. Everybody at Chiltern Solar have provided an excellent service throughout and I cannot recommend them highly enough as a company. Looking forward to some sunny days!

Just had my second installation with Chiltern. As the first time, they have provided great service and expertise. I am happy to recommend them to anyone else!

Great teamwork from start to finish. Online survey confirmed by site visit. Installation went smoothly on roof, in attic, and around consumer unit. Up and running in a couple of days. The guys on site were friendly, tidy, and knowledgeable. The office staff very helpful and responsive. Totally trustworthy. Definitely recommend them. PS, Tesla Powerwall added a month later, with same excellent service and support. Great company.

I want to thank the two electricians that came over to the installation. Very professional and the workmanship is very neat and tidy. Spot on, discussed with me the positioning on where isolators and etc. They where very friendly and explained how the Tesla system worked and functions. Overall A* will high recommend Chiltern Solar.

Great from start to finish 😀 Any issues (permission for scaffolding) were communicated, so we knew when everything was happening. The people who worked on it, scaffolders, roofers and electricians were good and particularly Daryl who did the walk throughs on the Apps etc once upon and running 😀

excellent service all round. highly professional. cannot fault in any way

The service was excellent and efficient. Very happy with our solar panel installation. Ann

Efficient and good clear expert advice that made decision making easy. On site electrician prompt and clean and tidy.

Five stars Chiltern Solar. I now have great system in place, exceeding my expectations. When Mike came to do the site survey, he put my mind at rest, carefully explaining where everything would go and how it would all work. I opted for storage batteries and a "solar boost" for the immersion heater. It's mid/late October and I'm amazed at the amount of power we are getting from the eight panels. If you are looking to go solar, I recommend Chiltern Solar.

I was very pleased with the service received from start to finish. A clear quote, kept to the installation schedule, courteous staff on site. I would happily recommend them.

Very pleased with our installation which was completed five months ago and has been working flawlessly ever since. Having looked previously at the community group purchasing schemes I was concerned about the prospect of an unknown installer completing the work so did the research and put my trust in this local firm with a history of great reviews. Dealing with Chiltern Solar was straightforward throughout with calls and emails all attended to very quickly. The install itself took two trips because of a dual aspect roof layout but the team worked hard to minimise disruption and kept us informed along the way. The after-sale support has been great and we were up and running with our energy export setup in just a couple of weeks. Having had time for any teething problems to arise - of which there weren't any - I can't recommend them highly enough.

Very happy from start to finish. All of the team members that we dealt with were helpful and professional. Delighted with the work and also that we chose Chiltern Solar.

We initially enquired about having Chiltern Solar fit solar panels last year, but they were so busy that they weren’t taking new work on at that time. We placed an order with another company that was recommended by a YouTuber we followed. After waiting around six months for installation we then discovered that the company was going into administration. Fortunately we got our deposit back. We decided we were very much happier going to someone local, and even more so once we discovered that Chiltern Solar were taking bookings again. After our experience with the other company, we were a bit wary, but we needn’t have been, as everything Chiltern Solar has done has been as promised and has run like clockwork. Mike came up to see us within a few days of us contacting the office and was very helpful and knowledgeable. He and the office team have been very easy to contact and the installation date, which was given quite early in the process, was actually achieved – from start to finish around 2 ½ months. Our installation team – Luke and Eddie, the fitters, and Darryl and Steve the electricians – were all very easy to get on with and did an excellent job. The final invoice came in exactly as per the original quote. The system is running very well, and it is a great feeling to be generating our own power, and even some when it has been cloudy. Be warned – you will lose hours watching the inverter app in fascination!!! Our thanks to everyone involved, and we would highly recommend.

Absolute pleasure doing business with Chiltern Solar Ltd, totally professional company, efficient and everything happened as per the quotation and I would highly recommend them.

Excellent service, a clean and efficient installation, I'm very happy

I have been very impressed with Chiltern Solar from start to finish. The process is well organised with sensible steps to get from estimate to quote to commitment to installation. Communication and all interaction throughout the process were excellent. On installation there was a tiny hiccup as Chiltern Solar's suppliers hadn't delivered all items. However, we were notified and they started and completed all work possible and the job ended up being done over 3 days instead of 2, not a problem at all. Highly recommended.

Great installation by Chiltern Solar this week, my first enquiry to them was over 6 months ago, delayed mainly due to planning issues. All the team from the initial enquiry to completion have been approachable, friendly, professional and responsive. Thoroughly recommend.

Chiltern were superb from start to finish from the initial design to maximise our production through quoting and installation, Always ready to help. Our current 3.6 kw system provides on average 400kwh around 2/3 of our usage and we power our water heating and 2 electric cars from it.

Excellent service from Chiltern Solar from first enquiry to completion. Very responsive at all times. We are very pleased with the panels and glad that we chose Chiltern to carry out the work. We would recommend them highly.

Excellent service throughout the whole process from design to commissioning

Chiltern Solar have done a fantastic job installing our solar system and battery storage and it works exactly as we had hoped. Their installation team were very professional, neat, tidy and thoughtful and went out of their way to make the installation process quick, straightforward and trouble-free. They arrived exactly when they promised and completed the job very quickly. Highly recommended.

Slick and painfree installation of our solar panels. Everyone who came was super polite and pleasant to have here. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent communication from Chiltern Solar team from start to finish providing accurate estimates of timeframes, specifications, options and costs followed by an efficient installation by the team and the associated trades.

From start to completion I have no complaints. The initial survey was informative with no hard sale tactics. The install took two days with Electricians and Scaffolders attending on Day 1 and Roofers and Electricians on Day 2. 10 panels, 2 batteries, inverter etc. Everyone was helpful, professional and organised. I would be happy to recommend Chiltern Solar Ltd to family and friends.

Good advice and service and a good clean installation. Very pleased with the result.

Good team of specialists supported the process from initial contact to completion. Ensured panels were attached when our main contractor was replacing the roof. Excellent in roof solar panels which look great. Battery, iBoost and app give easy access to monitor what is happening. Highly recommend.

Powerwall Instal, complex instal due to meter locations but Chiltern Solar carried out a neat and efficient installation all working well!!

Just a short note to say a big ‘thank you’ to you and your team for planning, administering and implementing our solar panel order. We are delighted with the installation. Everything about the process has been excellent. Mike: you were superb in helping us understand the various options and getting us to the right order specification – including responding promptly to queries. Skye: you, Sam, Lauren and your other office colleagues were efficient with correspondence and really helpful each time I phoned. Luke and Eddie, Rob and Luke were all a pleasure to have on site during the installation. Always courteous and considerate, working hard and keeping to the schedule. Please thank everyone involved from my wife and me.

A great company to work with. Received a very personal service, always responsive and kept communications going throughout. Very happy with end set up which is working well. Would recommend. Have now used twice, first time for Solar Panels that have been working away for a year, the second time for some batteries to store excess Solar and charge up overnight from cheaper electricity. Second time they were just as good as the first time around, great service and very happy with our set up now.

Neat, tidy, efficient and very friendly job of installing battery storage. No pressure selling like some companies. All we need now is an explanation of how to use the app! Happy to recommend.

From the start of my initial enquiry to the final installation by Chiltern Solar, the whole process has been simplistic and uncomplicated. Throughout the entire process, all enquiries and questions relating to the installation have been dealt with promptly and efficiently by all members of the company. I would thoroughly recommend Chiltern Solar for anyone considering solar energy.

Efficient, very helpful, friendly and considerate. Reliable and well organised.

Solar PV install Dec 2018: Excellent! Responsive and helpful through the sales process, but not pushy. Installations n team were friendly and professional, making sure they had the plan right with me before starting. Our roof shape is a bit tricky but the team were very patient and thoughtful in explaining options both prior and during the detailed work on installation day. Final result looks very smart. Battery install Feb 2023: Following my previous great experience with Chiltern Solar I turned to them to add a GivEnergy battery. Aside from a long lead time on both the battery (beyond their control) and their own availability, service was once again excellent. The onsite team communicated effectively about mains shut down period while we were working from home and we're very tidy in their work. They monitored the system remotely and found a problem and came back unprompted to address the problem. All working well. Very pleased. Will go back to Chiltern Solar for anything else we need in the future without question.

Excellent experience, from initial contact to install and handover. I got 3 quotes, Chiltern Solar were by far the most professional, least pushy of all 3. Surveyor came up with a great system design including batteries which (on day 2 in cloudy, rainy March '23) is already saving us money and helping cut our CO2 emissions. Wish I'd done this years ago.

Very professional. Gave us all the details we needed to make an informed decision about investing in solar panels. The installation was very efficient and was completed with the minimum amount of fuss. We are now enjoying the benefits of solar energy.

I highly recommend Chiltern Solar. The whole project, from applying for a quote, to completion of the installation has been easy. Every person we dealt with has been helpful and professional. The installation team were brilliant. My solar panel system has been running for a few days now (early March), and I am very impressed as it is supplying all my electricity needs.

Very happy with the level of customer service and quality of workmanship from Chiltern Solar. All parts of the chain knew what they were doing, communicated well and did a neat, tidy and expert job - tailored to what we wanted. Kevin the electrician deserves a special shout out! If you’re thinking of going Solar, I definitely recommend asking them for a quote. Just need the sun to shine now!

Chiltern Solar provided a punctual and reliable service. Everything they said would happen did happen, and it happened exactly when they said it would. I had a couple of questions post-installation which they dealt with very promptly, including a short visit to check everything was running as it should be (it was). Overall, I'm delighted with the installation and with the results being achieved and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them

I had to provide a lot of information before Chiltern Solar agreed to survey our house and provide a detailed estimate of the cost of installing a solar PV system, but it was worth it. Their quote was competitively priced and a higher spec than either of the other two estimates I received. Apart from an unfortunate accident, the installation was also very straightforward. Each of the different workmen - the scaffolders, the roofers who installed the panels and the electricians - worked professionally, were courteous and considerate, and completed their tasks as scheduled. The Solis app makes it easy to monitor the performance of the system which, despite the indifferent weather we have had recently, comfortably exceeds our expectations. Our broadband network was changed shortly after the installation, but Chiltern Solar arranged for an electrician to reconnect the app when we struggled to do it ourselves. The unfortunate accident referred to earlier involved one of the electricians losing his footing while working in the loft, damaging the ceiling below. However, Chiltern Solar arranged for the ceiling to be repaired, re-plastered and re-painted. I would happily recommend Chiltern Solar to other home owners looking to install a solar PV system.

Excellent service through out. good communication and all went to plan. worth the wait.

Great service. Solar panels and Powerwall installed successfully.

Everything went to plan and all people involved were professional and very friendly. They went out of their way to help us. We are very happy with the installation and service provided.

As an older customer to actually speak to the company we were dealing with, rather than on-line contact only, was really appreciated and gave us confidence in the product we were purchasing. Every person we spoke to was very helpful and the installation process painless. The whole team were efficient and polite.

Our first contact with Chiltern Solar was excellent Sam was friendly helpful and professional. They have done a fantastic job installing our solar system and battery storage. The Surveyor was helpful, informative and not pushy. Their installation team were very professional, neat, tidy and thoughtful and went out of their way to make the installation process quick, straightforward and trouble-free all done in two days. They arrived exactly when they promised and completed the job very quickly. Thank you to all the team. Highly recommended.

An excellent experience from start to finish, and (4 days in) we're delighted with the result. Richard (surveyor) was knowledgeable, helpful and proactive in dealing with our queries, and the installation team (Matt the electrician, Eddie and Colin) were excellent throughout. Communications from the office team was also very good. We got 3 quotes, all for a similar price and specification, we went with Chiltern because they were the most responsive in dealing with our questions. Really pleased we did, highly recommended.
